CMDB Schedule

Introduction

When you're pushing devices or applications to your CMDB system manually, a CDMB Schedule push request is created in Insights and executed immediately or on schedule, depending on the selected option. Each push request is recorded, and you can track the execution details.

Create a CMDB Push request

You can create a CMDB push request for devices and applications.

To push devices manually, navigate to Inventory > Devices table, select the devices that you want to push, select the gear settings icon, select the Push to CMDB option, and provide a push request name.

To push applications manually, navigate to the Applications page and select the Push to CMDB button. Select the applications that you want to push and provide a push request name.

View CMDB Push request details

All manual CMDB push requests are listed in the CMDB > CMDB Schedule page. On that page, you can see a list of all requests with their IDs, names, push date, and details. By clicking the Details (info) icon under the Actions column for each push request, a new window opens with request details. The details contain a list of the pushed devices or applications, included in the specified push request, and the job status for each device or application. The job status lists all push tasks and the status for each of them.
